Powers & History: Prosimian belonged to the mutant subgroup called animal evolutionaries. (It is unclear whether they were animals who mutated to a level of human intelligence, and in some cases, humanoid appearances or humans who mutated to animial appearances. Prosimian was an evolved primate. He was rescued from a laboratory by the Brotherhood, but quickly grew sick of Quicksilver's "PG-13 terrorism."
When Blob discovered that Magneto as still alive, Prosimian arranged a trap for Beast so the Brotherhood could find the Master of Magnetism. All this was done behind Quicksilver and Wanda's backs. After Magneto's memory was restored, he thanked Prosimian by killing him. Magneto obviously did not believe mutant primates belonged in the same world as Homo Superior. Whether or not Magneto killed the rest of the animal evolutionaries is unknown.
