With more and more mutants appearing in the world, people also began hating them more. In this, Mojo, a succesfull television producer, saw a great chance for a new show. He set up a base at Krakoa Island, near the Genoshan borders. There, he allowed contestants to hunt down mutants who were convicted for crimes. The show became a great hit among the human public, and Mojo decided to place the show on the internet so people could download it.
Some mutants really died on the show. Mojo’s last victim was a mutant called Longshot, who was suspected of murder. When the X-Men gained word about the show, they falsely believed that Longshot was innocent and wanted to go rescue him. However they eventually learned the truth and Longshot turned out to be really guilty, but the X-Men couldn’t allow mutants to be convicted like this any longer and destroyed Mojo’s network.
Mojo and his partners, including a contestant called Arcade>, got arrested by the police because they saw how unethical the show was. Some time later Mojo was released and sought revenge on the X-Men. He hired an assassin called Deadpool and a team of cyborgs called the Reavers to capture them. They broke in inside the X-Men’s mansion and also kidnapped the super-hero Spider-Man, who was visiting the school at the time.
Mojo went live with his show, but the X-Men and Spider-Man defeated all of their enemies and Professor Xavier used his telepathic powers to shut Mojo’s brain down, and the brains of his partners. The base later got destroyed and it would seem Mojo is now dead.
