Real Name: Colonel Nicholas Fury

Aliases: November Foxtrot (call sign)
Powers: None (human). Despite being powerless, Fury is able to use all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s technology to render himself invisible, to fly, and to walk through walls. Fury served for the US military during Desert Storm, and came into a Weapon X beserker named Wolverine. Most soldiers were terrified of Wolverine and thought he would kill them all if he was ever given the chance. Nick's caravan was attacked and he lost his eye, but if it was not for Wolverine, he would have lost his life. Wolverine killed the enemy soldiers and carried Fury through the desert back to base.

The relationship between Fury and Wolverine would prove beneficial to the X-Men years later when they were imprisoned by the Weapon X program. Wolverine, the only X-Man not captured, contacted Fury for help. The X-Men and the other Weapon X mutants broke out and as Wraith was about to shoot Nightcrawler, Fury appeared with a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and shot Wraith (Wraith killed General Ross earlier for cancelling the Weapon X program).

With General Ross dead, Fury became the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Though he does not participate in missions anymore, he was able to resurrect the Super Soldier program. The result was the Ultimates. Despite his other duties with S.H.I.E.L.D., Fury has found time to not only brief the team, but form friendships with them as well.
