Real Name: Yuriko OyamaWhen Yuriko was a kid, she apparently became an orphan and lived on the streets. There, she became a thief and when she crossed paths with another thief called Ororo Munroe (Storm, they became friends and partners-in-crime. However Yuriko’s ruthless ways didn’t sit well with Ororo and she ended the friendship in a big fight while motorbikes, which ended with Yuri being hit by a truck and crippled.
Some time later, Yuriko was approached by the organization known as Weapon X, led by Dr. Cornelius, who were out to destroy Wolverine. Cornelius offered to restore Yuriko's body and gave her a healing factor, as well as cyborg parts that allowed her to walk and fight again. After training, Yuriko attacked Wolverine and called herself Deathstrike. Luckily for Yuriko, Ororo was also with Logan and the two were unhappily reunited. A battle broke out and Storm fried Yuriko with her weather powers.
Deathstrike was placed in SHIELD custody for a time. When Magneto broke lose, X-Men members Dazzler and Angel were at the base and when the headquarters’ power got shut down, she could escape from her cell. She confronted the two young mutants and stabbed Dazzler in her back, causing her to fall in a coma. Deathstrike seemed to have been killed by another mutant escapee called Longshot, who snapped her neck.
