Powers & History: None (human). Doug is a human student but has advanced computer skills. He also has an excellent intellect memory and was a champion on Jeopardy!
It is unknown how Douglas was discovered by Emma, but it can be presumed she thought he could be useful because of his computer skills. These skills helped Emma and her team prove that Lorna was innocent of the murders she was suspected from to have commited. Douglas managed to find video footage of Forge and Mystique, and proved that their weapon killed the men. Lorna was freed and returned to the school.
During the investigations, it was hinted Douglas has a crush on his teacher, Emma. Douglas is now the only human on Emma’s mutant team and still resides at her school. He has tried to fit in, but feels like an outsider. Worse, he once followed his classmates when they snuck out at night, and found them tearing up a drug lab. Doug was cornered by a thug and only the fact that Emma and Lorna had followed him saved his life. Unfortunately, Havok, Cannonball and Sunspot thought that Doug had ratted them out, and he was even more isolated afterwards.
