Dr. Strange

Full Name: Dr. Stephen Strange
Affiliation: None
History & Powers: Master of the Mystic Arts and Sorcerer Supreme, as in our dimension. He possesses the Eye of Agamotto and a Cloak of Levitation, as well as a staff that may have some mystical sgnificance as well. However, this Stephen Strange was involved in some incident that has the world on alert for all things supernatural, especially J. Jonah Jameson, publisher of the Daily Bugle. In addition, when he helped the sorceress Jennifer Kale free her friend Ted Sallis from the curse of the Man-Thing, a swamp creature and the Guardian of the Nexus of All Realities, Strange himself was transformed into the Man-Thing. He accepted his role as the Guardian, and fought S.H.I.E.L.D when it came to take control of the Nexus for the Goblin Queen. Dr. Strange was aided by Havok II, Doc Samson, Stingray and Yellowjacket, and defeated both S.H.I.E.L.D. and the remaining members of the Fantastic Four and The Six. After Havok apparently destroyed the Nexus and went home, Dr. Strange and the remaining heroes decided to band together as the new Defenders.

Months later, Dr. Strange returned to Havok's side, warning him not to approach the attacking Beyonder. Eventually Dr. Strange revealed that Alex had not destroyed the Nexus, but instead the Nexus had re-formed inside Havok's body. Strange erected a mystical barrier around the Six's HQ and called in Reed Richards, Xavier and his teacher Baron Mordo to help stop the Beyonder. With their help, Havok was able to take the Beyonder into the Nexus, reveal him as the Goblin Queen and defeat her. Dr. Strange supposedly was to help the "resurrected" Madelyne Pryor to be the new Guardian of the Nexus following Havok's departure.
