In the wake of the Goblin Queen's takeover of NYC, Stingray and Yellowjacket, the two surviving Avengers, called in Doc Samson, now imbued with the power of the Hulk, and assisted Havok in thwarting the evil Queen's plan to control the Nexus of All Realities. In that battle, they joined with Dr. Strange, and afterwards, they decided to remain together. The Defenders reappeared to fight the Beyonder and Dracula, and all except Dr. Strange appear to have been killed.
