Mutant X Bios

Captain America

Real Name: Unknown
Affiliation: The Six
Previous Affiliations: Avengers, Freedom Force (Mutant X Universe versions)
Status: Deceased (Havok)
Powers: Massive energy powers. Until recently it was assumed that this Cap is the same as our original Captain America, and that he is basically a normal human, except that the Super-Soldier serum he was injected with in WWII has made him reach the ultimate potential of the human body. However, all that was negated by Professor X's hint that Cap is in fact a closet mutant, and further revelations of that nature. Still, the nature of his powers has yet to be revealed. Cap is faster, stronger and smarter than the average person, but not superhumanly so, or at least he doesn't show it. Cap carries a shield made from an adamantium-vibranium alloy that is virtually unbreakeable. Besides functioning as a shield, it can be thrown as a discus, and Cap has an uncanny talent for getting it to return like a boomerang. Cap has led the Avengers, but fortunately was on the road with Freedom Force when the Sentinels attacked his old teammates and killed them. After the fall of the Goblin Queen, many Avengers were recruited into Nick Fury's anti-mutant forces, but Cap refused to be a party to such bigotry. He joined up with the Hellfire Club, and then joined the Six they were all betrayed by Sunfire. Cap served with the Six for a short time, during which it was revealed that he too, was a mutant, though his exact powers were not discovered until later. On his last mission, Cap had to face the Avengers, the team who felt he had betrayed them in some past incident. The Six were trying to get into Canada and the Avengers blocked their path. Cap went berserk, his mutation pumping up his physical body, making him nearly invulnerable and able to wield massive amount of energy. It seems that the super-soldier serum had interacted badly with Cap's latent mutation, giving him immense power but causing his mind to become confused and single-track - he would do anything to protect the United States, no matter the cost. He took out the Avengers and most of the Six, then obliterated the Weapon X forces that came afterwards. Finally, Havok was forced to stop Captain America. Their battle raged for hours, ripping apart the surrounding area, and even part of the moon. Havok finally prevailed, and Cap's body burned out. After Havok left, Cap's corpse was sucked down into the Earth by the Beyonder II, who learned of Havok from his dead mind.
