Synopsis/Review by MoogleFFVI: Synopsis: A nuclear explosion moves through a large city, but it's only a videogame being played by Dr. Bruce Banner and his friend Amanda's son, Donald. He leaves as soon as Amanda returns and walks outside of the building. As soon as he is outside, Janet van Dyne, a woman wearing a suit from Project: W.A.S.P. flies into him. After Bruce fakes unconsciousness and tries to sneak a kiss from Janet, Irongirl buzzes close by the pair. Janet whines about Irongirl but is soon cut off by Dr. Banner, pointing out an unidentified helicopter landing close by. Hank "Antman" Pym and T'Challa appear and Hank runs over to Dr. Banner, starting a small conversation. Soon afterwards, Miss Antoinette Stark taking off her Irongirl armor and entering a conference with President Steve Rogers, Colonel Nick Fury of S.H.E.I.L.D., and Baron Mordo, Ambassador of the Central Euro-Asian Alliance. She then retells the history of Dr. Banner's discovery of a new dimension with free, unlimited energy called "The Negative Zone." Hydra then tricked him into building what he called "The Energy Well," and then using it in a devastating attack against New York. But due to the poor construction of the Energy Well, it back lashed, causing the Great Blackout. During the Great Blackout, Namor and the kingdom of Atlantis invaded the surface world, but Ironman, Tony Stark, stopped him, then disappeared. Now Dr. Banner is re-building the Energy Well for Stark Industries. Baron Mordo starts screaming, but the President takes Antoinette's side. Antoinette offers her guests to stay there on Stark Island. President Rogers is immediately called by The Vision and told that he is needed back at the Avengers Mansion. Fury leaves as well, but Baron Mordo optsleaves for his room. The meeting then slowly dies down. At a large mansion in a remote location, Baron Wolfgang von Strucker is ushered inside by Lorenzo the butler. Strucker walks over to what seems to be a pool and slowly sinks down into it. Namorita and Lady Namora greet him. Then, Prince Namor of Atlantis comes, and Namor gets mad when he hears that the surface-dwellers are violating their treaty by rebuilding the Energy Well. He vows vengeance on the surface with Strucker as his ally but does not realize that the Baron is just using him for his own ends. Back at Stark Island, an evil looking Baron Mordo recites a spell which teleports Black Widow and the Executioner to him. In New York, Dr. Strange senses the magic that was used and interrupts Tigra's online auction, making them both fly through the air to the island. Back at Strak Island, Black Widow, her assistant and Baron Mordo gang up on Dr. Banner, who just got a snack from a vending machine. Black Widow stuns him, Baron Mordo disappears through a wall, and Black Widow and her assistant take Dr. Banner captive. An alert wakes up everyone else on the island, and Dr. Strange transports Baron Mordo into space. They battle in space while Tigra attacks Black Widow, but she gets away in a submarine with Dr. Banner right as Prince Namor and giant monsters from Atlantis attack Stark Island. As Iron Girl fights them, Dr. Banner wakes up and transforms into the Hulk, busting out of the sub. The battle appears to end, as the Hulk travels into New York City. Review: I personally liked this comic. It brought a variety of different Marvel characters from different series together. The cast was awesome, and the art was great too. This comic is a must have for Marvel fans and people who like anime and/or manga. What more can I say? I loved it! I can't wait for Eternal Twilight, since that should have even more people from the looks of the front and back covers.
