Real Name: Dr. Heather MacNeil HudsonHeather Hudson was experimenting with gamma waves and was accidentally exposed to the radiation, which would have killed her, except that the Great Beast Tanaraq appeared to her and made a deal. In return for Tanaraq's healing her and giving her great power, Heather would one day provide him with her body as a host for his spirit. When she awoke, Heather had turned into Sasquatch, a representation of Tanaraq's powerful form. She was brought into Alpha Flight, and soon met Logan, a wild man they had rescued. Logan became part of Alpha Flight, codenamed Wolverine, and he and Heather soon fell in love and got married. Unfortunately, this Wolverine had an implant from the Weapon X Program that caused him to go insane, and Heather was forced to kill him.
She mourned for months, but James Hudson comforted her, and eventually they married. Sasquatch was still a member of her reality's Alpha Flight when she became "unstuck in time." She was sent to the Exiles after their battle with Galactus on Skrull-Earth to replace the comatose Thunderbird. Since then she operated with the team, but at first did not seem to have formed any very close relationships with her teammates, except perhaps Morph. She missed her husband James terribly, and that may make her more somber and circumspect in emotional matters. She has no "arrangement" with James that would allow Morph some "cuddle time," as she flatly told him once.
When the Vampire King scattered the Exiles with a chaos spell, Heather and Morph ended up in a reality right after Wolverine escaped from the Weapon X compound. They were tracked and attacked by Wolverine, and Heather got stabbed in the leg. She managed to knock Morph out and hide him from Logan, then confronted the version of her first love. Rather than fight him, she transformed to human and this calmed Wolverine. Luckily, she and Morph transferred to another reality just then, so Heather didn't have to fight Logan again.
On another mission, Magik betrayed the team and sliced Heather's back with her sword. Nocturne was able to save Heather by possessing her and triggering her Sasquatch transformation, which accelerated her healing process.
When the Exiles went to a world controlled by the sorcerer Kulan Gath, Heather became ill, until she could barely move. However, with the evil Morbius bearing down on her and her friends, she had no choice but to give in to Tanaraq and let him take over her body. Tanaraq stopped Kulan Gath and tried to take over the Exiles, but the team was able to excise him from Heather by calling in the Great Beasts of that alternate reality. Heather, now powerless, was removed from the team.
Some time afterwards, when the Exiles discovered the truth about the Timebroker and the reality-jumping mechanisms of the Panoptichron (or Crystal Palace), and defeated the evil Hyperion, they revived Heather from her stasis chamber. Heather seemed to be attracted to an alternate Dr. Strange she recruited to help Mimic, but he was killed by Deadpool. Still powerless, Heather became the team's central controller, feeding them information from the Panoptichron's computers via the Tallus.
When the Exiles inadvertently allowed Proteus to discover the existence of other realities during the House of M warp, Heather used the Crystal Palace's machines to track Proteus across the Multiverse. When Blink finally defeated Proteus, Heather allowed the team members to go home for a much-needed break. Heather herself was catching up (intimately) with her husband James when Sabretooth popped in on them. Embarrassed, Creed relayed the Timebreakers' message that a disaster was about to befall Heather's home reality. The Exiles and Alpha Flight assembled and traveled to Russia to stop the Soviet Super-Soldiers from releasing Chernobog, the Darkforce demon. However, the event was actually a ploy by the Timebreakers to get the Exiles out of the Panoptichron, whereupon they re-asserted control and took the Tallus away from the Exiles, stranding them on Heather's world.
After the bugs' plan to use a team of Wolverines failed miserably, however, the Timebreakers were forced to re-gather the original Exiles, and Heather returned to her job as team controller.
Reason for Being an Exile: In the disrupted timeline, James Hudson is incinerated by faulty equipment.
