Synopsis & Review by Scion. Thanks!:
Synopsis: Illyana confronts the remaining Avengers, opinions range from don’t hurt her (Peter, gulbible fool) to crack open her skull (Luke, I agree). She tells him them the situation and asks them to off themselves like men and make this easier for everyone.

Nocturne, Sunfire, and Morph confront, accidiently, Magnum and Namorita. He rants for awhile in typical villianry. Sunfire tells them she and her friends will stop him. He tells his team to kill them. As they flee the energy bolts he says one of the best line in the book as he kisses Namorita. 'In a few days the whole world will lie naked and shamed, face down before us---the king of the land and the queen of the seas. The skins of the world's supposed heroes will decorate our floors of gold and silver. And you and I will make love upon them laughing.' He kisses her passionately as his soldiers carry out a massacre around them. (Oh I think I love this guy already)

Meanwhile, Illyana fights Luke Cage and Iron Fist. She breaks away from them and attacks Collosus. Luke blocks the attack and takes the sword from her. Danny highkicks her in the jaw and is about to finish her off, but opts not too. Luke is about to run her through with the sword.

Sunfire and group continue to run while jets pursue them. She comes up with an idea and is forced to release Nocturne and Morph. She flames all the jets on their tail while Morph suggests that if Nocturne wants to make love as her final act he would be willing… Sunfire catches them and Morph continues to joke.

Moses is making plans elsewhere when he and Namorita get an interesting surprise in the form of Mimic and Sasquatch. Moses tries to rip the floor out from under them.

Meanwhile, Luke is prevented from killing Illyana by Peter; who then kills Luke himself, crushing his ribcage with a single punch. Danny is shocked and demands a reason. Peter tells him that he has chosen to help her get home and to use his iron fist. Danny’s attack smashes through Peter’s chest. Peter grabs Danny around the head afterwards and explains that despite Luke and him being his bestfriends, only one thing has ever meant more to him. He then crushes Danny’s skull. He dies as well. The Black Knight arises to challenge Illyana afterwards. (What was he resting?)

Mariko and her party arrive at her home in this dimension. The place has been fairly well destroyed. Inside Morph finds a body, as he removes the rubble, he realizes it is this dimension’s Mariko. Nocturne suggests they get Mariko out of here before she sees this, but little do they realize that is too late.

Mimic and Sasquatch are charging Moses and Namorita in flight. Moses hates it when they can fly. Both Moses and Namorita take a hit. Moses uses his power in close contact on Mimic, which hurts like hell. Namorita knocks Sasquatch and Mimic into a brick wall. Namorita and Moses start flirting again.

Nocturne and Morph try to comfort Mariko, though Morph just ends up pissing her off. As she screams at him the stepping disc appears overhead. Mimic and Sasquatch are about to be smashed when the Tallus tells them ‘mission finished.’ Sasquatch wonders who completed their mission. The final shot is of a very evil looking Magik standing over the body of the Black Knight.

Review:

Story- Kill Magik. I always wanted to see this character in a comic, alas I wish I hadn’t. Overall the story was good, I love Moses and Namorita that line he has during the massacre just does something for me. I still love Morph above all the others, give the guy a break will you.

Peter was…an idiot. I mean, at this point I would be wondering what side she fought for in her dimension, even assuming I believed her story of who she was. Must kill Magik.

And what bugs me most is there is no explanation as to what will happen after the Avengers die, *growls *.

Art- Was I the only one who found the cover to be a cruel tease *looks at the curious stares and hears the silence* I guess so.

Same complaint from last issue. The art is too cheerful and colorful for such a harsh issue and story. But the characters are well rendered in this, so that’s cool.
