Part of the Days of Future Past Timeline

Synopsis & Review by CharleyX:
Synopsis: Magneto and Jubilee ferry Logan'sunconscious body through an Indian mansion, wondering if "she" has totally lost touch with reality, or will be willing to help them. They walk into a grand ballroom out of the 18th century, and a matronly woman in a fancy gown greets them. Magneto tells her to drop the charade, and the illusion melts to reveal Emma Frost at the heart of a multimedia command center. Tensions are high as Magneto practically begs for assistance, and Emma reminds Jubilee how much it hurt when she and the other Gen Xers left. Emma realizes what they want, and offers to do it for free, Magneto's indebtedness to her being payment enough. She telepathically connects with Logan and begins to put his psyche back together again. She feels all his pain, and sympathizes. Soon, Logan's own mind reintegrates and helps Emma complete her task.

Wolverine awakes and attacks Magneto in a rage, thinking that his old adversary was behind the attack in Russia. Jubilee holds him back and that calms him enough for him to ask what's happened. Magneto again describes the natural disasters, but when that fails to convince Logan, he reveals that the people behind the global upheavals have his daughter as a prisoner, and are using her to bend to laws of nature!

Thousands of miles away, deep inside the Hoover Dam, the Scarlet Witch is in incredible pain, bound to the Cataclysm Engine that channels her mutant hex power into destructive force. A few feet away, Shinobi and his Red Queen marvel at the simplicity of the machine. Suddenly, Elisabeth feels a psychic shock, which she identifies as Emma Frost reawakening Wolverine. Shinobi tells her to have Midnight finish Logan of, which she does a short time later. Elisabeth expresses concern that the history between Midnight and her target might be a propblem, but Midnight says betrayal comes easy now, prompting Psylocke to recall her lover Angel's death. Midnight then leaves.

Charlotte Jones makes her way through the streets of Portland to the Resistance safehouse where she meets Leech and Synch. She reports that the rest of the X-Men are still imprisoned in Manhattan, and Leech is upset. Ev calms him, but Charlotte sn't so sure Jubilee's plan was a good one. Unlike her, Magneto has half the Thunderbolts in the country looking for him. Unfortunately, careful as Charlotte was about getting to the safehouse, she was followed, and enemy craft hover right outside!

to help, and they set off for Canada to pick up something from storage. Canada - Jubilee, Loan and Magneto arrive at Department H, now a rotting complex. Magneto inquires about Amiko and get the run-down from Logan. Wolverien stops as he smellsa someone and James Hudson, formerly of Alpha Flight, now a Resistance leader, and his team appear. They're not happy about Magneto's presence, but defer to Logan's assurances. Mac gives them access to the storage room Logan had set up years before Jubilee is a little surprised to see what's in it. Meanwhile, Midnight silently watches the mutants from above.

Soon the mutants are airborne in the old Blackbird, showing its age but still operational. Magneto can't help but wonder aloud if the Sentinel takeover could have been prevented if his fellow mutants would have listened to him and not to Xavier. Logan makes a crack about the great job Mags did in Genosha, again ticking Magneto off severly. Logan is nonplussed, and reminds Magneto that he could care less about him, he's here to help Wanda.

The Blackbird arrives at the Hoover Dam and is immediately picked up by Shinobi's sensor techs. Shinobi orders them to shoot it down, and a few moments later, missiles do exactly that.

In Portland, Charlotte, Leech and Synch step out of the rubble of their safehouse into the lights of a Thuderbolts raiding part led by Baron Zemo. Her fake ID useless, Jones is stunned when Zemo asks for the location of Jubilee and Magneto, and even offers a trade for the information!

At the Hoover Dam, Magneto and Jubilee use the crashing explosion of the Blackbird to mask their escape, hoping their attackers will assume them dead for at least a few hours. Meanwhile, Logan has entered the dam through its subterranean tunnel system. He reaches the Cataclysm Engine and takes out the guards. Suddenly he feels someone behind him and barely dodges Midnight's firsat attack. Wolverine's response is brutal, and hits close enough to rip Midnight's mask, revealing Amiko! Logan is stunned, and hesitates long enough for Midnight to pull two sai, flip over him and stab him in the kidneys. He goes down as Amiko gloats at her victory, since her sais were poisoned. However, Midnight whispers to Wolverine that she tried to lose him earlier, and she didn't want things to go this way. Then Shinobi and Elisabeth enter and congratulate their assassin, whereupon Shinobi gives the order to start up the Cataclysm Engine.

And in the midst of the raging chaos energies, Wanda Maximoff screams.
