Interesting. We see the first members of Clan Askani: Qua, the last Atlantean, now a water entity, Lexii, a clone from a clone sisterhood, a warbot and a were-guy called Hark. It was almost all women, except him. Then she also picks up Blaquesmith, who's not a mutant, but has great psionic potential. Hello? How's that again? Whatever. Anyway, Luminesca ticks Nero off and she and Ch'vayre get dumped in front of one of the plagues. Qua dies, and then Luminesca buys it. Rachel finally calls on the Pheonix Force, which she hadn't done till now because she didn't want to reveal her true identity and stop the plague, dying in the process. However, like the Phoenix of legend she resurrects herself. Very cool scene, but I was very disappointed in the Phoenix Force's appearance. It didn't look like a bird at all. Also cool was Rachel realizing that maybe she isn't the one to stop the High Lord. I really thought that Ch'vayre was going to join up then and make his history clear, but he didn't. There's always next issue. Speaking of, if I don't see Sanctity next issue I'm going to be upset. Finally, lots of mentioning of The Twelve, and how one of that line is prophesied to be the one who will stop Apocalypse. Now, Rachel is definitely of that bloodline, unless in her timeline there were no Twelve. Not likely, considering Sanctity's words in Uncanny X-Men -1. However, the implication by the Order of Witnesses is that they're not referring to her but to Cable. Maybe because he's one of The Twelve himself? Whatever. Ray helped him eventually defeat Pocy, even though she was already almost dead, so I guess they both did it. Cool how they "foresee" that Ray will die while beating Apocalypse. I mean, for us it already happened, but nice to see continuity. What I also find interesting is that it's really the Order who are supporting the idea of a Chosen One who will save the world, way before Rachel ever got there. Interesting twist.
