Synopsis: Nathan has hit puberty, his virus has exploded, and he is in a coma. Apocalypse tortures Stryfe to make him ready for the transferral, and Ch'vayre is unable to dissuade him. Jean and Turrin go to help him stop Apocalypse, he attacks Turrin, wanting only Jean's help. Rachel talks to Nathan telepathically, explaining that he can control the virus. Nathan pulls himself together and warns Scott that Jean needs them. Ch'vayre and Jean attack Apocalypse; he finally realizes Stryfe is a clone and realizes he would burn out that host body, too. Scott has Nathan break the psi-energies between the two, and Apocalypse's withered shell collapses, empty. Meanwhile, Rachel's body has just died. She can no longer keep Jean and Scott in this time, and she asks Jean to take the Phoenix name again. Scott says farewell to Nathan, who must now fight to restore Xavier's dream in the ruins of Apocalypse's world.
