Synopsis: Three years later: Jean has been teaching Nathan to use his mind to mask his T-O virus, but the boy is tired of hiding. Apocalypse has been teaching Stryfe to kill; he thinks Stryfe is Nathan, and says he infected him, to prove his worth. Ch'vayre is disgusted with Apocalypse and realizes the Askani had the real Nathan (issue 13). Scott and Jean have been helping Turrin's terrorist raids. They find the lab that is creating the Legacy virus, then Ch'vayre attacks, trying to capture them. Stryfe appears, and orders their deaths; Jean and Scott are forced to reveal their mutant powers, making Turrin's group suspicious. Nathan has snuck along; Rachel talks to him telepathically, teaching him to use the computers. Stryfe finds him, realizes he is a clone, and blasts him full-power, knocking himself out, and enflaming Nathan's T-O. Rachel calms it back down. Turrin's group escapes, just as Ch'vayre destroys the complex. Scott visits Rachel, still in a coma, thanks her and says he loves her. Ch'vayre decides that compassion is the true strength, and that he needs to stop Apocalypse and Stryfe.
