Powers & History: Silver Samurai can create an energy field around his sword allowing it disintegrate solid objects. He also has a ring that enables teleportation and incredibly lightweight armor created by Magneto. For some reason he has an Omega tattooed on his forehead.

Kenuichio Harada was a mutant rebel in Japan and a member of the Clan Yashida. He also appears to have a long-standing grudge with Weapon X.

The Silver Samurai and Sunfire stood as Japan’s last line of defense when Apocalypse came to destroy every human on the islands. While Sunfire battled Apocalypse and Nemesis alone, Silver Samurai led the remaining Japanese survivors to safety. This was a long and difficult journey and Viper, his wife, was killed while fighting off the remaining forces of Apocalypse. Unable to forgive himself for his wife’s death, Silver Samurai fought against the forces of Apocalypse in Asia until Apocalypse’s demise.

Silver Samurai discovered that his old friend (and cousin) Sunfire was actually alive and fighting alongside the X-Men after the fall of Apocalypse. He then sought out his friend and joined Sunfire as an X-Man. After Sinister’s death, Silver Samurai joined Psylocke, Kirika and Sunfire on a trip to Japan to find Mariko Yashida.
