Real Name: Victor CreedIn the "Age of Apocalypse" timeline, Sabretooth was a mercenary when Apocalypse came to power, and appeared to be in the running for a position as a Horseman. However, when Apocalypse revealed his plan to set off a nuclear war, Sabretooth balked at the idea of genocide, so the other Horsemen attacked him. The X-Men intervened, but Creed was badly wounded and left for dead by both sides.
At some point, Sabretooth returned to work for Apocalypse, but he secretly sabotaged missions and tried to save human lives. Eventually his actions were discovered and he was blasted by Holocaust, then taken to one of Apocalypse's strongholds. There he was incarcerated with the feral mutant Wildchild, who was nearly mindless and functioned as an animal. Holocaust's intent was to make Sabretooth give in to his animal side, and it almost worked. Sabretooth and Wildchild fought each other for three days straight, until Creed finally overcame the smaller feral, but did not kill him. This experience bonded Wildchild to Creed in a master-pet relationship, though Wildchild seemed to understand more English than the average canine. Sabretooth used to hold Wildchild's chain attached to a gauntlet on his wrist, and release it when letting his "partner" attack.
Creed eventually sought out and joined the X-Men, and on an early mission partnered with Weapon X to rescue Blink from Sinister's slave pens. As Creed was the one to find her, and Weapon X left soon after anyway, Sabretooth became a sort of "foster-father" to Blink.
Sabretooth was an integral part of the X-Men team for years. Shortly after Bishop's arrival, Sabretooth joined a mission to stop Holocaust from continuing the culling of humans in the Midwest. He ended up going after Holocaust himself, sending Wildchild back to bring reinforcements. In the meantime, Sabretooth managed to crack Holocaust's containment suit, but his injuries were too great and he passed out, while Holocaust's bio-energy reformed itself. Blink arrived to find her mentor chained to a post, and took out Holocaust herself to save him.
Sabretooth survived, though do to his condition he was not an effective part of the X-Men's battle for the M'Kraan Crystal. Some time before the nuclear bombs sent by European humans were supposed to drop, Creed must have become "unstuck in time" and formed a reality-hopping team called "Weapon X" with Kane, Maverick, Mesmero, Deadpool and Wolverine.
As a so-called "exile" Sabretooth received a Tallus, which told him what his team's mission was in each reality. He soon found out that Blink had also survived when Weapon X met the Exiles on a mission to stop the Hulk. They met again on another world, in which Weapon X was intended to serve as backup to the Exiles, who balked at their mission: kill young David Richards.
Having completed some distasteful missions with Weapon X, Sabretooth finally drew the line at killing David and told Blink to save him. Following a battle with Nimrod-class Sentinels that crippled his Weapon X team, Creed decided to stay on that world and raise David Richards so he would not become a tyrant. The Tallus shifted to Weapon X's Gambit, and Sabretooth was allowed to remain to mentor that world's next generation of mutants.
Twenty years passed, but unfortunately Sabretooth's best efforts were for naught, as David Richards eventually became the tyrant Weapon X and the Exiles were warned about, and attacked humanity. One good thing to occur, though, was Sabretooth's reunion with Blink, who was dropped off with him when she left the Exiles. Richards had other ideas for Blink, though, and commandeered her powers to slaughter a lot of humans, until Sabretooth was forced to kill him.
The Exiles learned all of this when they returned to Richards's world and found Sabretooth, who was tapped to join their team and given the Tallus again. Then he and the Exiles were returned to the Age of Apocalypse, which somehow survived its nuclear holocaust. Ironically, Holocaust himself also joined the Exiles, causing Creed no end of nerves.
Reason for Being an Exile: Unknown.
