Synopsis: Sitting in Blaastar's prison, Ahmyor protests his ignorance of his former self to Clarice, who ignores him, thinking that he's lied to her all along. Guards come to take Ahmyor away, and Blaastar himself confronts Clarice. He reveals that Ahmyor was telling the truth - he had no recollection of being Annihilus. Clarice is stunned, even more so when Blaastar shows her that Ahmyor has hidden her quiver on him before his capture. Blaastar leaves the quiver outside the cell to taunt Clarice. As Ahmyor is forcibly reverted to his Annihilus physiognomy and strapped to the Annihilation Cannon, set to destory Earth, Clarice cuts her bonds with a rock shard, teleports out of her cell and takes out her two guards. As she picks up her quiver, all of her memories return, and she remembers who she is - Blink of the X-Men! Then she ports to Ahmyor, who tells her that he can't be removed from the weapon without detonating it. Clarice refuses to give up, and kisses her love goodbye as she generates three separate portals. Annihilus ends up a few miles away, the cannon goes back to Blaastar and detonates, and Clarice is gone. Earth: The X-Men eat dinner, and Sabretooth grumbles about how they can't find Blink. Suddenly Quicksilver feels a vibration, and a portal appears above the table. Blink has returned. Creed is pleased she's safe, and Clarice manages to blubber out what happened to her. Creed tells her never to forget, but to realize that fate separated her and her love, maybe for a reason. Months later, as the human forces rain their nuclear bombs donw on Apocalypse's America, Blink is washed a way by a flash flood. Suddenly she teleports. She emerges in a desert wasteland and is confronted by a blue-skinned woman with three fingers and toes on each limb, who believes Clarice has started off better than she, because at least Blink isn't sitting in her underwear! To be continued in Exiles #1! Review: Ugh! Terrible end to a terrible LS. None of it made sense. If Blink can teleport without the javelins, why did she need them to save Ahmyor? Even if she needs them to teleport others, why did she say she only had 3 when we could see a whole quiver on her back? Why didn't she teleport with Ahmyor? She doesn't even need a javelin for that. How did she pop through dimensions at the end? Completely incomprehensible. The only nice surprise was that the last 2 pages were either copies or repros of the previews I saw for Exiles #1. I didn't expect to see them here, so that was a nice surprise. That's it though. I'm not holding my breath for Exiles, if this is any indication of the kind of fare we'll be getting. Save your cash.
