Codename Etymology: Pronounced grĭz'lē [From Old French grisel, dim. of gris "grey"]. Grey. Also the species common name of a North American bear, Ursus Horribilis, from "grisly" (Old English grislic "horrible").
Powers & History: Grizzly had augmented strength, stamina, reflexes and resistance to physical injury. He had red furry hide that covered his entire form and razor-edged claws. A known serial killer, he was employed by Apocalypse as a bounty hunter. When the Shadow King informed Apocalypse of the possible presence of an unknown but immensely powerful telepath in the Midwest, Grizzly, along with Domino and Caliban, was part of the team sent to track down and kill the telepath. After a battle with Russian mutant Rossovich (killed by Domino), they managed to track down the telepath, Nate Grey, to an abandoned farm house after following information provided by the Madri. Grizzly managed to kill Toad but was thrown off balance by one of Theresa’s sonic screams and was shot and killed by Forge.
