Factor-X #4
Synopsis by Jeff Harris:What little remains of the Elite Mutant Force gathers together both to kill off the prisoners and to attempt to find the escaped Cyclops and Jean Grey. Meanwhile, the pair is hurriedly travelling to the Black Tower that contains the Brain Trust, and are discussing their strange encounter with Nate (read the X-Man series already!), when they are confronted by the Bedlam Brothers. Scott is luckily able to convince them to join them, and the brothers stay behind to face the Guthries who are on their way. In Heaven, a squadron of Infinites arrives to shut down Angel's establishment, and Warren is barely to escape by surrounding the enemies with flame from a concealed weapon. Back in the pens, Terry sends the temperamental Cannonball careeninng into the ceiling with his psychic static, and Jesse uses his powers to unhook a steam vent coupling, which takes out Amazon, and the two flee as fast as they can. At the Brain Trust, Cyclops and Jean come in, but Scott's optics are restrained by the Trust's power neutralization. Fortunately, although it takes a lot of pain and strain on her part, Jean manages to fight off all the mental assaults of the six in vitro brains and blow them to smithereens. Upstairs, Havok meets with a new prisoner, Scarlett. He is furious at her betrayal, and horrified to discover that she is now pregnant, but their heated meeting is interrupted by Scott cutting the power in the building. In the lab, Beast's hybrids rebel against him, but he manages to take most of them out and throw some into the gene pool before they can overwhelm him. As Jean Grey and Cyclops attempt to get the prisoners out, Havok rushes in, and it takes physical strength on the part of the older Summers brother to knock Alex out, but he is unwilling to kill his brother, which proves to be a grave mistake (see X-Men Omega). The pair exits with the refugees in hopes to leave Manhattan behind once and for all.
