Powers & History: Douglas had an active psionic translation field and intuitively translated any languages he came into contact with including written, spoken, or computer. This field could be extended over a few mile radius to enable translation and communication between all individuals in his range. Additionally his limited mental sensitivity allowed him to detect consciousnesses. Douglas was the adopted son of Destiny and his translation field covered all of Avalon making it easier for people to communicate. Douglas was the first to detect the Shadow King's presence. When the battle between X-Calibre and the Shadow King started, Douglas accused Nightcrawler and Mystique of destroying Avalon, only to be sternly told off by Nightcrawler. Stung by Nightcrawler’s words, Douglas died intercepting a blast from the possessed Marcus that was meant for his mother.
