Powers & History: D’Ken overthrew his older sister Deathbird to become the ruler of the Shi’ar and forced her into exile. He then murdered his younger sister Lilandra, the admiral of the imperial fleet. Now the unquestioned ruler of the Shi’ar Empire, D’Ken attempted to control the powers of the M’Kraan Crystal. He failed and the crystal began to radiate its energies out of control, crystallizing planets. D’Ken then appeared to vanish when he was transported into the heart of the M’Kraan Crystal. In trying to harness its power from within, he was paralyzed by its power and remained frozen in place. He was eventually found by Deathbird who attempted to kill him, only to be frozen by the crystal herself.
