Powers & History: Death was assigned by Apocalypse to control the massive machine known as Ship and oversee the Blue Area of the Moon. He also possessed the Terrigen Mists and used it to create his own force based on the templates of the murdered Inhuman Family (Death's own relatives). When Apocalypse needed to rejuvenate on Ship, Cyclops went with him. With Apocalypse incapacitated, Death decided that he would rule instead of Apocalypse. When the X-Men (who also learned of Apocalypse’s vulnerability) teleported to the Blue Area of the Moon, they were greeted by Death and his force. Death defeated the X-Men and took them aboard Ship, planning to expose them to the Terrigen Mists and create more loyal followers. His plans were foiled by the combined forces of Cyclops, new X-Man Blink and the mutant Sunfire, who was being tortured aboard Ship. If Death was not killed by the raging inferno created by Sunfire, he died when Ship exploded.
