Unfortunately their plane was captured by the Shi’ar and Christopher used the only parachute to save his sons. The aliens tortured the two with tests and killed Katherine. Christopher survived and along with other prisoners, took control of the ship. They then waged a war on their captives for years until Corsair grew tired of it. He returned to Earth and to New York in hopes of finding his sons but what he found was a world under Apocalypse’s rule and was quickly captured. He was then classified as an ‘anomaly’ and given to Beast for analysis. Over the next five years, Christopher Summers was experimented on by the Beast until his escape.

While on the run, Corsair ran into Robbie Robertson, who explained what had happened to this world and to his sons Scott and Alex. Wanting Corsair back in the pens, Sinister assembled his mutant elite to apprehend the escaped prisoner. The mutants tracked Corsair but he managed to kill Emplate, and injure the rest. Cyclops and Havok were then sent to capture him, not knowing he was their father. Corsair managed to convince his sons that he was indeed their actual father and the three fought off undead creatures wanting to destroy them all. Sinister eventually came to their rescue and the brothers were furious that he would keep their real father a secret from them. At that point, Corsair began to transform into a Brood, having been infected while in space. Sinister hid the secret of their father from Cyclops and Havok so they would not have to see him this way.

The Brood-infected Corsair then attacked Sinister as revenge for all the torture. He was eventually killed by Cyclops’s optic blast after Corsair lost his humanity and tried to destroy both Havok and Sinister.
