Caliban from Shakespeare's The Tempest is a variation, found in Hakluyt's 1599 "Voyages"]; Savage, anthropophagite.
Powers & History: Caliban could psionically sense and track mutants. Other than that he was also a keen fencer and intellectual. Caliban was employed by Apocalypse as a bounty hunter. When the Shadow King informed Apocalypse of the possible presence of an unknown but immensely powerful telepath in the Midwest, Caliban, along with Domino and Grizzly was part of the team sent to track down and kill the telepath. During the battle with Russian mutant Rossovich, Caliban stayed out of sight till the end, much to his teammate’s disgust. Later the team managed to track down the telepath Nate Grey to an abandoned farm house after following information provided by the Madri and Caliban indulged in a fencing duel with Toad and was killed by him.
