Powers & History: Brute was an ugly mutant who was gifted with superhuman strength. Apparently Brute was held in Apocalypse’s pens before being rescued or breaking free. He eventually became a member of Forge’s drama troop alongside Toad, Mastermind, Sauron and the young X-Man. While being very limited in his intellect, Brute cared deeply for his friends and their safety. When Essex, a new companion joined their troop it was Brute who first realized that it was actually Sinister, a man who he recognized from the pens. This cost Brute his life, as Essex killed him with an energy blast.
