Powers & History: Amazon could increase her size and proportional strength, within unknown limits. Elizabeth Guthrie was found in the mountains of Kentucky by Apocalypse’s forces. She and her mutant siblings were offered the chance to work for Apocalypse by Sinister while the human ones were killed. Elizabeth accepted his offer and with her brother Sam (Cannonball), became guards at Apocalypse’s pen. As Amazon, Elizabeth became a ruthless oppressor in the pens and loyally worked under Prelate Alex Summers (Havok). When Alex discovered his brother Scott was helping prisoners escape the pens, Amazon gladly assisted in capturing him. Alex then took Scott’s position and rewarded Amazon by promoting her to a Prelate.

When Scott and Jean Grey broke free of Beast’s restraints and tried to free the pens, Amazon and Cannonball tried to stop them. Unfortunately, they were defeated by the Bedlam Brothers (Jesse and Terry Aaronson), two prelates loyal to Scott.

After the fall of Apocalypse, Amazon and Cannonball went looking for their sister Paige (Husk), who had not accepted Sinister’s offer and instead chose to fight as an X-Man. They learned that Paige participated on an assault on the Core and never returned. Amazon and Cannonball went to the Core and miraculously, found Paige alive. The three then reunited with another surviving Guthrie sibling, Joshua, and the four decided to get revenge on Magneto. After Husk infiltrated the X-Men as Xorn, Amazon and her siblings attacked the team to capture Magneto’s son Charles. They failed in this attempt and Amazon was killed by Sunfire’s heat blasts.
