Synopsis by SGuthrie19:
Welcome to Seattle, where a lone traveler climbs a tower of corpses in his continuous trek, following the Infinites' trail of genocide. The silence is broken as a little girl runs right into him. He holds her for a moment, but in a flash of life, the pair finds them facing Unus and a squadron of Fedayeen Infinites. Unus attacks the stranger with a crushing force field, but he absorbs the power expended. The Infinites prepare to kill him, but their attempted execution is interrupted by the arrival of the X-Men! Sabretooth, Wild Child, Rogue, Blink, Nightcrawler, Storm, Quicksilver, and Morph all use their powers to make hasty work of the Infinites, but they soon discover that Unus has other plans as he points a plastic gun at Magneto's head. This proves to be no problem as Iceman freezes and then breaks him to pieces. Magneto reveals something of a death wish, but his musings are halted when Blink says that Sabretooth is having a hard time questioning the stranger. When Victor pulls back the man's hood and scarf, Magneto has a moment of recognition when he sees Bishop for the first time in decades. The last member of our reality's X-Men attacks Magneto, claiming that everything is twisted because of Magnus, but the Master of Magnetism slows the flow of blood to his brain, knocking him out cold. Without answering Creed's questions, Magneto and the others return to the compound. Far away from the Seattle battleground, the Beast is performing hideous experiments on the unwilling Fred Dukes. Unfortunately for McCoy, Dukes escapes and starts to choke him, but Havok and Cyclops manage to put him down for good. Scott questions why McCoy was continuing his genetic experimentation when the Kelly Pact was supposed to prevent it, but Alex gets up in Scott's face, saying that it's his responsibility to make reports when they're needed. Sinister waltzes in, and both Summerses apologize, but while Essex asks Alex to clean up the mess, he takes Scott w ith him outside. He tells Cyclops that he is leaving, and after confusing him with various cryptic statements, he says good-bye. Scott hears the dull roar of Sentinels that are patrolling above the Heaven nightclub, where Angel introduces his newest singing sensation, Scarlett Mackenzie. Karma announces Gambit's arrival to her employer, and Warren agrees to tell Remy the location of Magneto's base. Little do they know that Sebastian Shaw has been watching the whole meeting. Back in Magneto's base, the Xavier Estate in Weschester County, Rogue and Magneto, apparently married in this reality, come to greet their son Charles and her caretaker, the robotic Nanny. Elsewhere in the compound, Sabretooth and Nightcrawler find themselves consistently unable to get any information out of Bishop, but upon the arrival of Magneto, he begins screaming again, and is only silenced by a magnetic blast. Magnus tells Rogue that the only way to know the truth is for her to absorb his memories. Back at Apocalypse's citadel, the horsemen are having a meeting, the only absence being Mikhial, as Sinister, Abyss, and Holocaust, Apocalypse's son, have already arrived. Apocalypse claims that the Kelly Pact is only a ruse to mask their movements as they begin their plot to take over the world. Sinister is doubtful of how exactly that plan will work, fearing that it could result in both sides being destroyed, but Apocalypse doesn't have any compunctions on continuing his plans. In the ruins of London, a pair of cloaked strangers are attacked by a bunch of hoods, but with a flash of adamantium claws, they agree to take Weapon X and Jean Grey to the headquarters of the Human High Council in Big Ben. Although Moira and Bolivar Trask, along with Brian Braddock and Emma Frost, don't exactly give them a warm welcome, they accept their offer of the data rods from Sinister, and then tell them make themselves comfortable. Jean and Logan embrace as another Council member waits in the shadows... Mariko Yashida. Back in Weschester, Rogue and Magneto's co-interrogation of Bishop is rather explosive, and the pair see in his memories visions of another wholly different world. Gambit leaps in and rips Rogue away from Bishop to safety. Sabretooth wants to rip his head off, but Quicksilver claims that Magneto summoned him. Magnus tells Kurt to find Mystique as he must speak to her, and then wants to take a walk by himself. Rogue and Gambit both confront him, but he resopnds by saying that he won't betray Charles's trust no matter what happens. Back in Manhattan, Apocalypse and Holocaust find Sinister's quarters empty, and the former claims he already has operatives searching for him. And finally, Magneto has a meeting with Rogue, who tells him that all the X-Men have arrived to hear what he has to say, as the M'Kraan Crystal slowly splinters away everything in its destructive path toward the Earth.
