Powers & History: Carlos Javier has the unique ability to read men's thoughts, even at great distances, and to control what they think and do. While the strength of his mind is unmatched, his body is damaged, and he cannot walk. Some time ago, he was friends with "Enrique" another specially-powered individual with control over magnetism. For some reason, perhaps to provide trust, Javier created a helmet for his friend that blocked his powers, enabling Enrique to be confident of his own mind. Unfortunately, the two parted ways, possibly over a disagreement about how to deal with other "witchbreed," and Enrique went on to become the Grand Inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition, and a terror to witchbreed across Europe.
Javier, meanwhile, opened a school in Warwick, England, where he brought rescued witchbreed and trained them to use their abilities.
