Now…
Gambit is surprised to see Sinister dead and Mystique says he got careless and it killed him. He would never have let the child out of his sight once he had control of it and she needs it. Gambit still can’t believe Sinister is dead and realizes he is free of him and wonders what to do now. Suddenly there is a scream and Mystique says that it is Regan and Gambit points out that the X-Men are here.

X-Force and Bishop are surrounded by Sinister’s forces. Wolverine takes a swipe at Malice and Scalphunter fires a bullet into Wolverine’s eye knocking him to the ground.

Wolfsbane attacks Arclight and bites her neck only to be blasted in the back by Sunfire. Bishop jumps in and save Rahne only to be tackled outside by Riptide.

Wolverine gets up only to be confronted by Scrambler who cancels out his healing factor. X23 runs past him and slices off his arms and guts him, leaving him for dead.

Scalphunter takes aim at Hepzibah only to see Warpath jump in front and hurl a dagger into his shoulder. Mystique comes out and says Sinister needs more time with the baby and to hold off the X-Men as long as possible. She pulls the dagger out of his shoulder and notices the roof cave in and the rest of the X-Men arrive. Cyclops orders them to take them all down and bring him Bishop. Mysitque reminds Scalphunter to do whatever it takes and walk off back to Gambit and the baby. Mystique says they don’t have much time, even if they can’t beat Sinister’s people, one of them is bound to find them. Gambit asks if she is sure about this and if she really believes in this baby. Mystique says she doesn’t believe, she knows and that Destiny saw this moment and she has done everything to bring them to it. This child will save Rogue and he doesn’t know what it has been like. Knowing what is coming and being so powerless to stop it. To have her life left to fate. Everything she did, she did for her. Gambit asks how it works; does she hook the baby up to a machine? Mystique says not exactly and places the babies forehead on Rogues lips.

Xavier Institute…
Santo shouts for Mercury and Dust to move while Predator X smashes through him. Dust is horrified it was eating the corpses of the dead and charges at her. She turns to sand and Mercury says it’s one of the Predator’ created by the Facility. It’s changed and it’s a lot bigger. Santo wonders why it is sniffing them when it charges off towards the institute.

Trance, Indra and Wolf Cub duck as it smashes through the window. It pins Indra down when Surge jumps in and starts blasting it with electricity. She orders Indra to get everyone to Beast while she doesn’t let him die.

Muir Island…
Riptide holds an unconscious Rahne when Professor Xavier and Cable arrive. Prof. X psychically puts him to sleep and checks on Rahne and they split up.

Inside…
Gambit is horrified that Mystique used the baby to save Rogue and snatches the child from her hands. He asks if Rogue would ever want this? For her to sacrifice a child to save her life. She killed a baby! He then looks at the baby and notices she is fine and is shocked. He points out the strain killed Sinister but not the child. Mystique says it’s all Destiny. She checks on Rogue but Rogue does not stir. Mystique doesn’t understand why she isn’t waking up and she should because Destiny told her and begins to cry. She says that maybe if she saves her, she will love her again. Gambit says that Rogue would rather die then let her harm a child and she would die to stop her. Professor Xavier walks in and is pleased to hear that from him.

The Battle…
Storm and Siryn beat the crap out of Exodus while Monet beats Random and Colossus backhands Cargril. Emma telepathically stops Harpoon and tries to find the baby but there is too much telepathic interference from Exodus and senses another telepath that isn’t Sinister.

Bishop takes out an Acolyte and begins looking for the baby. Tempo tries to put a stop to the battle but Cable sneaks up behind her and knocks her out. Cable asks if the Professor has the baby to which he replies yes.

Xavier asks Gambit what he will do now and Gambit says he will stay at Rogue’s side where he belongs.

Xavier Institute…
Surge is trying her hardest to keep Predator X at bay when Anole punches it in the face and Prodigy tackles Surge out of the way. Dust, Mercury and Rockslide are just behind them and watch, as Predator X sniff’s the air. Surge wants to know where it is going and Anole wants to know why it isn’t eating them. Prodigy says it is a predator, it targets the weak.

The Infirmary…
Pixie is bringing Nightcrawler up to date and he wonders how long he has been out. Beast says he doesn’t know, they have been reacting to one crisis after another. Suddenly Nehzno, Armor and Predator X come crashing through. Predator X tried to take a bite out of Hellion and Loa but Kurt teleports them to safety. Armor and Nehzno try to hold it back and Beast warns Pixie to stay back. Kurt says he can’t teleport anymore and they need back up when the New X-Men arrive. Prodigy orders Anole, Rockslide and Dust to keep it away from Julian and Josh. Surge says that X23’s claws could hurt it, see what she can do. Pixie tells Kurt that X23 killed one of those things, well that’s what Santo said and she can take it to her. Pixie begins to chant and Loa asks her what she is doing as everything begins to glow pink.

Muir Island…
Cyclops orders Wolverine to break away from the group and kill anyone he finds on the way. Just find the baby. Suddenly there is a pink flash and the New X-Men, Beast, the injured X-Men and Predator X appear. Mercury shouts for Vertigo to move but it’s too late as Predator X has already eaten her. Wolverine wants to know what the hell is that thing?

Elsewhere on Muir Island…
Prof. X finds and gives Cable the baby. He says he is going to help his X-Men and to take the child into the future and leaves. As Cable gets ready to leave he is confronted by Bishop who says the child needs to die and by Predator X, who is very hungry.

Review: WOW… wow… wow… this issue sets the big finale. I loved it but Sinister is DEAD! Why? They are running out of classic X-Villains or maybe they should use more newly created villains like Pandemic and start rebuilding the villain teams and have them stick.
