Xavier Institute, War Room…
Nori is watching footage from the Purifier attack in Alaska and thinks they have the baby. She also wants to know why Cyclops told them to stay out of it. David says that if Cyclops didn’t tell them, he must have had a good reason and don’t do anything stupid. Julian notices Professor Xavier approach them and he says to Nori she should listen to David. Cyclops kept that info because he wanted to protect her and there are more ways to solve a problem then to go charging headfirst into violence. They should try taking a different approach. Nori tells him to shut up and asks wher ehe was when they were getting killed? She storms off and says there is nothing he can teach them.

Dallas, Texas…
Forge informs Cyclops there has been no change in Madox’s condition and asks if he could spare Emma. Cyclops says he can’t and Forge says he will continue to monitor each timeline in case of abnormalities and says that this is uncharted territory, if Madrox never wakes up but Cyclops cuts him off and says the risks they are taking are worth it. Forge wants Cyclops to listen to himself, and asks if he would sacrifice Madrox life? And Layla’s? Cyclops says their species is dying so whatever is happening, they have to find a way to control it or all of their lives end there.

Day Room…
Surge announces to the rest of the New X-Men that she is going after the Purifiers and recounts some of their recent history and her intent to save the baby. She wants to know if any of them will join her. Hellion and Mercury are in, Dust says that she wants blood and there has been too much blood of late so no. Santo says yes and Anole says yes but only to help the baby. He also say they should ask the Cuckoos if they have picked up anything from the X-Men and to check the O*N*E’s records. Pixie says she can teleport them there and says she doesn’t want to kill anyone. David asks for Nori no to do this but she just asks Elixir who says no because he’ll kill every one of them because they killed Laurie and he doesn’t want to do that but if they need healing, they know where to find him. Hisako appears in the doorway asking if they have room for one more.

Antarctica…
Angel, Storm, Colossus and Wolverine are waiting for Nightcrawler who is scouting the area. He informs them that Sinister’s forces are here.

Church of William Striker, Washington D.C.…
Rictor is taking the tour of the Purifiers base and gaining all the information he can. He eventually learns that they don’t have the baby but they have a special team to help track and deal with any increased mutant resistance. Rictor looks on shocked who their new allies are.

New York City, 80 years from now…
Madrox and Layla are walking the streets and wondering why they haven’t met, seen or heard anyone talking about mutants. Madrox points out that Layla has no idea where they are going and doesn’t seem to have her powers but she points out she still has common sense and points to a library.

Inside the library, Layla and Madrox are checking everywhere to find what they can about what happened to mutants and since there is no mention of it, it must have been horrible. Layla finds a book and opens it up. She says no one ever goes to libraries and they know all the good stuff. Like where all the mutants are and she shows Madorx the book with X’s all over a map of the United States. They both look really shocked.

Mutant Relocation Camp…
Layla and Madrox find a relocation Camp just outside of Brooklyn.

Washington D.C., Now…
Surge, Armor, Mercury, Rockslide, Hellion, Pixie, Anole and X23 are spying on the Purifiers. Surge tells Anole that once he gets in, she wants him to find out about the baby and asks Laura what she sees. Laura describes all the guards weapons and how many there are at each entrance. Armor is very impressed.

Xavier Institute…
Dust is worried about the others and thinks she should have gone with them. David reassures her she did the right thing and Elixir says not to worry, she’ll take care of them. She isn’t going to let things get out of hand.

Washington D.C…
The New X-Men take out all the guards and enter the Purifier base.

Antarctica…
Sinister announces to his forces they are running and that they will meet the X-Men on there own terms. Scalphunter wonders where Harpoon is when Harpoon comes crashing through a wall and Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Angel and Wolverine appear behind him. Wolverine says they are here for Rogue and the baby, only question is how many will have to die before they get to them.

Washington D.C.…
Anole sneaks into the church and goes through the Purifiers database when Rictor sneaks up behind him. Anole is shocked and Rictor says he has to get out of there. Anole points out that they don’t have the baby and they can shut down the Purifiers. Rictor says he doesn’t get it, they have a much bigger problem.

Hall…
The New X-Men are engaging the Purifiers in a battle. Hellion comes across Matthew Risman and recognises he has been at the mansion and throws him into a wall. Matthew says one his first visit he sent a busload of his friends to hell and on his second he put a bullet in Ms. Collins head and today, he will send the rest of them back to Satan. Suddenly Hellion is stabbed in the chest and the rest of the New X-Men look on shocked as Lady Deathstrike and a bunch of Reavers stand behind him.

Review: The Reavers are back and man does this issue pick up compared to the last few issues. So much action. So few pages but this is only the beginning of the crossover and I love that they’ve included Armor. You hardly see her outside of Astonishing X-Men.

Art though, I’m not really impressed. Humberto Ramos is not one of my favourite artist’s and I’ve seen him do better, like when he did the Runaways Saga.
