Limbo; The Wastelands:
Illyana explains what happened to her and how she will defeat Belasco while Pixie screams in pain. Illyana is taking her soul so she can make a Soulsword. Anole screams for her to let her ago. Megan begs for her to stop. Anole suddenly breaks free from the wall and punches Illyana in the back. The soul taking stops. Anole tells her to stop or he will have to hurt her. Illyana tells him he will suffer for but is interrupted by a huge removed Rockslide, now covered in magma. Illyana uses her magic against him but it doesn’t work. Anole runs towards Pixie and it’s revealed that her soul is now a Soul dagger. Rockslide beats up Illyana until Anole stops him. He crushes Illyana against a wall and they hear a crack. Illyana returns to her old self and asks where her brother is. The students are confused.

Belasco’s Castle:
Belasco grows tired of the fight between him and Mercury and Dust. He blasts Dust away and grabs Mercury by the neck demanding to know where Illyana is. She tells him no and that they are hiding her. Belasco become angry and asks again where she is but is cut short. Huge spots appear on his face as Elixir has jumped on his back and using his dark powers to kill him. Belasco’s face swells up and he falls flat on his face. Dust tells them it isn’t right an d they can’t kill the devil. A green light appears where Belasco lay.

Germany:
Sefton creates a spell while Surge and Hellion talk about what’s going on. Hellion asks her If she’s going to be okay. She replies by telling him “Ask me again once I’ve turned Belasco into a smoking black pile of ash”.

Wastelands:
Illyana tells Santo, Megan and Victor her story. Victor asks her how do they get to Belasco’s castle. She tells them that only Pixie can get them there and that she can teach her a teleport spell.

Belasco’s Castle:
Belasco’s demons are walking and fly away from the castle and David follows them. Belasco returned to life and tells them students that he will kill ever single one of them until they tell him where Illyana is. He turns to X-23’s pile of bones and turns them green and reforms them. Then her flesh, hair, eyes, teeth appear then he clothes and claws. He grabs her by her hair and then raises spikes from the ground which impale her. The students scream. Belasco explains he will kill each and every one of them and then kill them again until she is found and he will pull of Earth into Limbo to find her.

Wastelands: (not where the students are) A green light appears. Inside a Sentinel, Lex tells Amanda they’ve lost contact and Amanda interrupts him telling him they’ve crossed over to Limbo and it’s only because of her that the Sentinel is working and they will probably die. Hellion and Surge are outside. Amanda tells them she created a sync which made them here for hours instead of years. Then Lex tells Surge that he’s picking something up. On his screen is a little red dot marked target, along with thousands of others. Hellion and Surge are in shock as they are surrounded by thousands if not millions of demons.

Review: So this story continues to amaze me. I love every page of it. Glad Santo is back and I love his new form. It’s great. And Belasco went a bit mad in this issue bringing back Laura just to kill her again. Wonder how she gets out of that one. Surge was excellent in this issue. As was Hellion and Anole, and Pixie. They are great and I love them all. Skottie Young’s art continues to be fantastic.
